Program Overview
M.Phil in English Literature was launched after completion of all formalities of the Higher Education Commission of Pakistan, with the intention of strengthening research culture in Pakistan and equipping students with advanced concepts and specialist knowledge in the field of literature. As English has achieved the status of a global language, command of English is necessary for economic and technological development.
Studies in English Language and Literature at INU prepare students for a range of careers across the globe such as interpreting and translation, teaching, journalism, business or international relations. The M.Phil English Literature program was primarily aimed at removing the lack of expert knowledge in language and literature, especially with reference to Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.

Eligibility
Sixteen years of schooling or 4-year education (124 credit hours) after HSSC/F.A./F.Sc/Grade 12; minimum 2nd division (annual system) or 2.50 CGPA (semester system) in the terminal degree; admission test equivalent to GRE/GAT/HAT General with passing score of 60%.
